It's been a crazy couple of weeks since my original post, and not one thing has been added to this blog! My little Sam is struggling with his Epilepsy...more specifically Doose Syndrome, which is a very rare, aggressive childhood Epilepsy. We are set to go back into the hospital on Monday morning if we can navigate through the ice and snow to get to Memphis. I've been baking, but only as a distraction, so no pictures have been taken and no blogging about a single recipe.
This morning I got all geared up to make a gorgeous Cinnamon Sugar Biscotti recipe that I found on joyofbaking.com. Then reality slapped me and reminded me that there is a fresh, uncut mocha bundt cake from 3 days ago and about a dozen perfectly wonderful, gooey yet crusty, cinnamon-sugary apple dumplings from yesterday- all still waiting to be eaten. I need to find another distraction! (Not to mention I am on a diet and am choosing not to indulge in any of them! Oh, hips and belly....why doest thou plague me so?)
So...to the back burner the blog goes. My need for snarkiness and sarcasm is still being met through Facebook- along with up to the minute updates on how Sam is doing. Facebook is great therapy for me....and provides a constant source of support and encourgement from my wonderful friends while we wait to see what God has in store for our Sam.
Prayerfully, I'll be blogging away soon while Sam is well and seizure-free and playing like a goof-ball with our other two monkeys. Until then, pray for us. God is bigger than Epilepsy!
